Doug is a senior saxophone player and the 2016 President of the Blue Band. A finance major in the Smeal College of Business, Doug is also involved in THON, Penn State Accounting Society, and Pride of the Lions Pep Band.  He hopes to cheer on the football team to a national championship this year.  Originally from Rochester, NY, Doug previously lived in Asia, and loves playing golf, basketball, and volleyball. Raise the Song.

Suzanne, a native of Media, Pennsylvania, is a fourth year member of the baritone section. She is majoring in psychology and minoring in deafness and hearing Studies, and plans on earning her master of education after graduation. She hopes to become an academic adviser and eventually a college consultant for underprivileged high school students. Outside of Blue Band, Suzanne loves to play her bassoon, watch Netflix, and take long walks on the beach.

Mike is a fourth-year trumpet majoring in Finance. He enjoys being paid and managing the finances of the Penn State Blue Band and The Penn State Thespians.

Olivia, a proud Pittsburgh native, is a third year member of the clarinet section, majoring in music education with a secondary band emphasis. She is president-elect of the Penn State NAfME chapter, a Schreyer Honors scholar, and is also active in THON. Olivia’s hobbies include reading and petting dogs.

 Jeremy is in his second year as a member of the trumpet section and is a sophomore majoring in aerospace engineering. This is his first year as a Blue Band Librarian. Outside of band, you can find Jeremy running, watching Seinfeld, writing music, and delving into his various other interests.

Kirsten is a senior majoring in aerospace engineering. This is her fourth year as a member of the clarinet section and her third year as an Equipment Manager. A native of Pennsylvania, Kirsten is actively involved in Blue Band THON and enjoys performing in Concert Band.

Katie is a third year alto saxophone from Palmyra, PA.  She a junior broadcast journalism major in the College of Communications.  In her spare time, Katie enjoys writing, cooking and watching The Office.  Katie is excited to spend her year writing press releases and managing all Blue Band social networks.

Dominic is a junior majoring in international politics with a focus in international relations. This is his third year in the Blue Band playing the trumpet. Born and raised in Easton, Pennsylvania, Dominic is excited to help recruit future Blue Band members and help out such a great program.

Ashley is a senior from Ligonier, PA majoring in Graphic Design. Entering her fourth and final year in the trombone section, she serves as the Graphic Design Chair to create all social media graphics, print media, merchandise, etc. In addition to Blue Band, Ashley is a graphic designer for VALLEY Magazine and has been a graphic design intern for Penn State Football. She is looking forward to spending her last season with such a talented PR team and officer board. When she isn't designing, you can probably find Ashley video chatting with her dog.

Colleen Brennan is a senior majoring in telecommunications with a minor in international studies from Pottsville, Pennsylvania. This is her third year in Blue Band, but she was involved in the Fall Athletic Band freshman year. Colleen has played percussion since 2005 and was the cymbal guide for the 2015-2016 season. After graduation, Colleen plans on working in the television industry and continuing to make videos.
