Athletic Bands
The Penn State Athletic Bands program provides resources and opportunities through music education to support student learning, artistic expression, and leadership development for student success at Penn State and beyond. The Penn State Marching Blue Band and Pride of the Lions Pep Band are music ensembles within the College of Arts and Architecture, which provides service to the University and Athletic Department.
Concert Band
The Concert Band at Penn State consists of four different ensembles that can include both non-major and major instrumentalists. Each ensemble presents one or more concerts each semester and is welcome to all students across campus.

Jazz Bands
The Penn State Jazz Band consists of five different main ensembles that are welcome to all students of diverse experience. Most ensembles perform on campus during the semester and will work will internationally known guests every year. The Jazz Band strives for students to practice their improv skills and create a cutting-edge jazz sound.
Alumni Blue Band
The Alumni Blue Band Association consists of members previously enrolled in the Blue Band at Penn State. The Alumni Blue Band performs at multiple events every year and stays involved with the Penn State Blue Band. The band is welcome to any previous member of the Blue Band wanting to join.
